About Ar15partsdirect
Who We Are
Ar15partsdirect started because we saw too many shooters buying junk components that failed under real use. This isn't a hobby shop run by marketing people; it's my personal catalog of parts that I've actually trusted in high-round-count builds. Everything here has been vetted, not just box-opened.
I'm Corbin Vance. Sixteen years ago I was developing stress-test protocols for carbine gas systems at a major manufacturer. I left that job because the focus was on minimizing cost, not maximizing reliability. Since then, I've built over 400 rifles for competitive shooters and law enforcement units. My hands have fitted every part we sell.
Our selection isn't based on catalog markups or distributor deals. I personally evaluate components through both controlled environmental testing and field use. If a charging handle doesn't clear 5,000 rounds without showing stress, it won't be listed here. Zero bluff, proven performance only.
What makes us different? Specificity. We don't sell vague 'AR parts.' You'll find parts categorized by actual function: gas-system components that match your barrel length, BCGs tested for proper staking and extractor tension, rail systems verified for torque specs that hold zero. Every item description includes the failure points I've watched others ignore.
You're looking at a condensed version of my gunsmithing notebook. If we list an adjustable gas block, it's because I've verified it won't seize after thermal cycling. If we recommend a buffer spring, it's because I've measured its consistent force curve beyond mil-spec minimums. No fluff, no fantasy specs. This is where you get what actually works.
I'm still building rifles in the shop most days. The site exists because too many customers asked where to source the parts I used. I only ship what I'd install myself.
